GREELY
Wednesdays: The new season for 2010 is underway. The group meets each Wednesday at the Greely Legion, 8021 Mitch Owens Road (east of Bank St. or west of Anderson Rd.) from 10a.m. to 3p.m. Enjoy many activities such as: euchre, cribbage, bingo, bean bag toss, etc. There is also a pool table and shuffleboard for those ware are interested. July 23- 25: Greely Legion Annual Country Music Festival. Lots of entertainers. Gates open on July 21, free rough camping available. Canteen on site. Hot dinner Saturday night. Bar open. Bring lawn chairs. For tickets, contact Shirley Sinclair 613-774-5360 or Linda Wyman 613-822-0233.
August 7: Greely Legion Annual Bar-B-Que and Dance featuring Kings Creek. Choice of steak or chicken dinner. Advance ticket sales by July 31 available at the Legion's Lounge or through Rolly Parent 613-821-1600 or any member of the Legion. Bar open at 5:30 PM. Dinner starting at 6 PM.
August 15: Third Sunday of the Month Jamboree featuring 4 bands and other entertainers. Musicians - bring your instruments. 2 PM - 7 PM.
OSGOODE
August 17: The Osgoode Cooperative Nursery School will be holding it's AGM on Tuesday August 17 at 7pm, at the Osgoode Branch of the Ottawa Public Library. This meeting will provide an overview of the upcoming year at OCNS as well as finalize our new executive council in a vote. For more information, call 613-826-2528.
